The life and times of Canada's most successful fur trader and surveyor.
A 14-year old boy arrived in Churchill, Manitoba to work for the Hudson's Bay Company. Over the next 28 years, he traveled 90,000 kms (55,000 miles) by horse, canoe, dog sled, and on foot, mapping more of North America than anyone else.
